Pandharpur Wari (Ashadi Ekadashi) is one of the largest and most sacred pilgrimages in Maharashtra, dedicated to Lord Vitthal of Pandharpur. Every year on Ashadi Ekadashi, millions of devotees called Warkaris walk long distances, carrying palkhis of Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram. The journey is filled with devotional songs, abhangas, and collective prayers. It represents devotion, equality, and spiritual discipline. The pilgrimage culminates at the Vitthal Temple in Pandharpur. Pandharpur Wari is a powerful symbol of faith, unity, and Maharashtra’s spiritual tradition.
